Coherence dynamics in low-energy nuclear fusion

Low-energy nuclear fusion reactions have been described using a dynamical coupled-channels density matrix method, based on the theory of open quantum systems. For first time, this has combined with an energy projection permitting calculation resolved probabilities. The results are benchmarked against calculations stationary Schrödinger dynamics and show excellent agreement. Calculations entropy, dissipation coherence were conducted, demonstrating capability method. It is evident that presence decoherence does not affect probability. This framework provides basis for thermodynamic studies thermal environments.
